Botulinium Toxin (also know as Botox) is a Cosmetic treatment to temporarily reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines by relaxing the underlying muscles. Most commonly known by brand names such as Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin, botulinum toxin injections are a popular non-surgical solution for achieving a smoother, more youthful appearance. Many areas of the face, neck and body can be treated using Botulinium Toxin.
This is a prescribed treatment, and therefore a face to face consultation is required prior to the treatment to follow regulatory guidelines and provide and maintain patient safety.
Consultation: Before the procedure, you'll have a consultation with our Nurse to discuss your goals, medical history, and any potential risks. As this is a prescribed treatment, a consultation is required in order to comply with regulatory guidance and ensure patient safety.
Preparation: The treatment area is cleaned prior to administration and the injection areas may be marked up as a guide for the injection placements
Injection: Our treating Nurse will use a fine needle into the targeted areas. Multiple injections may be needed to achieve the desired results.
Follow up Assessment: After the treatment, the Nurse will arrange a follow up appointment for two weeks later to assess the results. may gently massage the area to ensure even distribution of the filler and assess the results. Additional treatment may be administered at this review if necessary.
Post-Treatment Care: You will be given specific aftercare instructions, such as avoiding strenuous activities, excessive sun exposure, and certain medications for a short period.
